2024 Dreamweaver Shorts are now Public!

At the Dreamweaver Collective, we want to give the volunteers who make our films the best opportunities possible to have their work seen and recognized. That’s why we submit the strongest of our Dreamweaver shorts to film festivals both local and national. Unfortunately, this often means that they must be kept private or unlisted on our YouTube page until the festivals have made their selections and run their course.

But the wait is over for these three films from our 2024 season! Now you can watch LAST FRAME, THE THING IN THE DARK, and our film festival honoree TAKE ONE on our YouTube page and share them with your friends.

LAST FRAME, written by Travis Thoms, directed by Gerald Adamson, and starring Ellen Smith, is a horror short about a sleazy movie producer and a very spooky canister of old film. We shot this one at numerous Boise locations that generously extended us their hospitality - including Boise Statue University, Foy’s Franks in The Warehouse, and The Egyptian Theatre!

THE THING IN THE DARK, written by Daniel Mosakewicz, directed by Will Tebo, and starring Walter Hartje IV, is a horror short about a troubled man visiting home and dealing with his demons both metaphorical and literal. This film required some excellent costume design and low budget trickery to pull off our monster effects.

TAKE ONE, written by Holden Weihs and directed by Gerald Adamson, is a comedy short shot in one continuous take - which is really difficult to do! This short was an official selection of numerous film festivals in Idaho and around the country, including Filmfort, the North Idaho Film Festival, and the Sedona International Film Festival.

It’s taken a long time for us to finally be able to show these films to the public! Please watch, enjoy, and share with friends and family! And go ahead and give a re-watch to our other Dreamweaver shorts that have been publicly available all along!
