Production Practice with Dreamweaver

Last Saturday in the SKIP Building, the Dreamweaver Collective prepared for the upcoming short film productions by running a short practice shoot using JUMP’s gear. We put everything we’ve learned in the previous weeks to the test as we filmed a quick, one-page film with comprehensive camera coverage and dynamic lighting.

For this shoot, we had no preparation and no planning. The team got a script and the film gear and just went at it, figuring out the shot list and lighting setup on the spot. Everyone got to experience setting up and using our film gear, making directing and cinematography decisions, and working on a tight schedule to get a scene shot on time. All of these skills are going to be essential when we’re shooting “No Signal” in just over two weeks!
