That’s a Wrap on No Signal!
That's a wrap on "NO SIGNAL" - Dreamweaver Collective's biggest and most ambitious short film production to date! Shot across seven different locations over four days, with a crew of more than thirty hardworking local filmmakers and a cast of over ONE HUNDRED local actors, this was a beast of a production that only our director, the incredibly talented Kody Newton could have pulled off!
It took all of us working our hardest to make this happen - our camera team of Alex Caves, Ryan Quinn, Josh Barrientos, and Natalie Banse, who were right there with Kody the whole time; our assistant director team of Neely Shetler, Brady Heyer, Molly Dovner, Mike Thompson, and Hunter Haubert, who oversaw the operation of this vast production; our hardworking grips Brandon Green and Dallas Parker; our production design team led by Amanda Fitch; our production sound extraordinaire Cody Lockwood, and our endlessly flexible production assistants Bennett Huhn, Hannah Vargas, and Lana Ballenot! Our crew has gotten so talented and pulled this giant project off without a hitch!
And that's not to mention our huge and incredible cast, from our wonderful leads Fynn Erman and Charlie Johnson to all of the many, many, many background actors who joined us for our big crowd scenes! We couldn't have done this without you!
We had huge scenes to organize, setbacks and pivots, but ultimately we had a ton of fun bringing this project to life! A huge thanks to everyone, absolutely everyone, involved in this production for making it happen - but especially to VIP GameStore for saving us at the last minute when one of our locations became unavailable.
As for when you can see this film, well, the post-production process takes a long time... usually. But not this time! The lightning-fast and multi-talented Kody Newton will have "No Signal" complete and ready to premiere THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 28TH at his Idaho Film Family Festival! 7 PM, Overland Park Cinemas, come see "No Signal" as well as 14 other amazing locally made short films by Idaho filmmakers!
