2024 Hope for a Cure
A NIGHT OF INSPIRATIONAL STORIES AND IMAGES evolved from JUMP’s first Survivorship Wellness Series, a climb to spread awareness and funds for breast cancer research, a moving photography exhibit and gathering of our local community to celebrate and witness the power of these survivor’s personal journeys of courage and sisterhood.
Survivorship Wellness
JUMP’s Survivorship Wellness Series was designed to provide a safe space where Breast Cancer survivors could gather, commune, and share stories (and their hearts) while having fun trying new things. The series included Dancing Mindfulness, Pound, Sound Healing, Yoga for Cancer, QiGong, Cacao, Kirtan, Myofascial Release, Stretching, Meditation, and Offsite Gatherings, Presentations and Hikes.
JUMP into new perspectives
Journey through JUMP photography teacher, Christie Abel shared her joy of photography with campers (ages 8-15) and encouraged them to slow down and take a look at the world through the viewfinder of “old-school” point and shoot cameras. Teaching basic composition, she encouraged them to take a look at the world from different perspectives and perhaps filling their heart with a sense of wonder, awe, and connection.
Recipes from Around the World
Journey through JUMP Kids Camp Instructors, Jessica Skollingsberg-Hyer and Oriana Rodriguez taught a group of Littles (8-12 years olds) and Bigs (13-16 years olds) a wide variety of international culinary creations.
